Manually configure Entourage (EWS) for email hosted on Exchange 2007

These instructions describe how to set up Entourage 2008
Exchange Web Services (EWS) version to work with Rackspace Hosted Exchange 2007.

Note: To see what type
of Entourage version you have, go to Entourage located at the top, select
About Entourage, and look under Web Services
Edition
.

  1. Log in to the Cloud Office Control Panel
    and select the Entourage 2008 icon/link. This link will provide a pop-up
    window with information needed to set up
    your account.

  2. Open Entourage and at the very top
    select Tools, then Accounts, then New, then
    Exchange.

    If the Setup Assistant window appears, select Configure
    Account Manually
    , then New,
    then Exchange.

  3. Enter the following information into the fields:

    • Account Name - Enter a descriptive name of your
      choice for your account (for example, Work Account).

    • Name - This is the name that will be displayed
      when you send an email message.<

    • E-mail address - Enter your entire email
      address using all lowercase letters (for example,
      [email protected]).

    • Account ID - Enter the user name from the
      Setting Up Entourage 2008 window.

    • Domain - Enter the domain name from the Setting
      Up Entourage 2008
      window.

    • Password - Enter the password associated with
      the email address you're setting up.

  4. Next, click the Advanced tab and, in the
    Exchange Server box, enter the EWS Server address from
    the Setting Up Entourage 2008 window.

  5. Check the This DAV service requires a secure
    connection (SSL)
    box and then click the OK button.
