Import email address data into Outlook 2016 for Mac OS

This article describes how to export a copy of your email address data from Outlook 2016 for Mac OS.

Import email address data

  1. In Outlook 2016, click the File > Import from the navigation bar.

  2. A dialog box appears asking What do you want to import?. Select Outlook for Mac archive file(.olm) if the file you want to import was also exported from Outlook for Mac, and then click Continue.

  3. Browse for the file that you want to import into Outlook.
  4. A dialog box displays the message Your data has been imported.. Click Finish.

You have imported a copy of your email address data into Outlook 2016 for Mac. This can take several minutes to a few hours to complete depending on the size of the file you just imported.
